Frequently Asked Questions
What is mobile veterinary care?
Mobile veterinary care means we come to you. Instead of bringing your pet to a clinic, our veterinarian provides care in your home, where your pet is most comfortable.
This approach is especially helpful for:
- Anxious or fearful pets
- Senior pets with mobility challenges
- Exotic pets sensitive to travel
- Families who prefer the convenience of in-home care
What areas do you serve?

Each visit is scheduled with care to ensure a calm, unhurried experience.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Appointments are requested by phone or email so we can best understand your pet’s needs.
Phone: (352) 844-7021
Email: pawsandclawsvetcarefl@gmail.com
If we’re with a patient, please leave a message, send an email, or send a text message, and we’ll follow up as soon as possible.
Do you offer urgent or after-hours appointments?
Clients may request urgent appointments outside of normal business hours for an additional fee. Availability is limited and depends on scheduling, but we will always do our best to help when possible.
For time-sensitive concerns, we recommend calling rather than relying on forms alone.
What should I expect during a home visit?
During an in-home visit, we focus on keeping your pet relaxed and comfortable. Visits typically include:
- A gentle physical examination
- Time for your pet to acclimate
- Clear explanations of findings and recommendations
- Opportunity to ask questions
Because we’re in your pet’s home environment, we can often gain valuable insight into their daily routine and comfort.
Do I need to complete forms before my appointment?
New clients will be asked to complete a New Patient Form prior to their first visit. For at-home euthanasia appointments, an Euthanasia Consent Form is required.
Forms can be completed digitally or downloaded as PDFs, depending on your preference.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment is due at the time of service. We accept:
- Cash
- Credit cards, including American Express
- CareCredit
If you have questions about payment options, we encourage you to contact us ahead of your visit.
Is at-home euthanasia right for my pet?
At-home euthanasia can be a peaceful option for pets who are elderly, ill, anxious, or uncomfortable traveling. It allows your pet to remain in a familiar environment and gives your family privacy and time to say goodbye.
We’re always available to talk through your pet’s quality of life and answer questions so you can make an informed, compassionate decision.
